Youngest F1 racer ever in the 59-year history of the Formula One World Championship!

    Jaime Alguersuari!
And guess what? He is freaking 19!
    23 March 1990.
When so many of us are studying so hard at this age, he's already out there earning big bucks.
When he's driving monsters, some doesn't even drive.
What big differences our lives are.

He looks like some male model. Don't you think?
Maybe just that little bit shorter though.

Anyway, over at Redbull F1 Race Party at Wavehouse on the 23rd, the F1 racers were present too and I got the chance the serve them at the VIP area. Imagine how closed up it was and the number of times we brusheded past each other. Lol! And he was the cutest racer among the 2 Redbull and 2 Toro Rosso racers. So naturally I'll notice him you see. The other Toro Rosso guy, Sebastien Buemi looks like a horse to me. Sorry fans. Lol.

And yesterday, I got to see them train in the circuit! It's freaking awesome! The sound, the speed and the car! Imagine them driving monsters. COOL! Then imagine Jaime Alguersuari driving a normal luxury car. Even cool-er!

There are probably hotter and cuter racers but so far I've only seen the four in real person and I rather trust what I see in life then pictures on the net. So that makes Jaime Alguersuari my first ever F1 idol!
    What an experience. =D

And speaking of the Redbull Party, it was totally havoc! People partied till they seriously dropped and started rolling around in sand. Just imagine. Redbull with Vodka was freeflow the entire night. More angmohs then singaporeans. So just imagine how crazy they were. And I got to see hot celebrities too. It's just a great experience with great environment. Love that kind of job.

Alright, will be sleepin soon. Got work again this weekend. F1 F1 F1!
    Till then!

This week's the start and end of a busy week!
And I'm glad cos that means I wouldn't be lazing around doing absolutely nothing.
After which, unless I'm employed, I'll be free again.

    23th - Wavehouse
It's a trial period where they'll decide whether to hire me as their staff!
So if I do, then I'll be earning some extra allowance for myself!

I really hope I will though. That place is awesomely fun.
Plus I'll have friends working with me, it's near school when semester commences and the working environment's cool! Sentosa yo.
    Double awesome!

24th - CYA Grad Ceremony + Evening with Audrey & Kar Yee
Honestly, I'm looking forward to the evening one though I'll barely get a rest.
We even had a plan for that night!
    OOO Yeah!
(Sorry CYA, but yeah. That's the past now. I've graduated from it yo. At least I'm still going even when it came rather last minute.)

    25th - Tunglok F1 Event
    26th - Tunglok F1 Event
    27th - Tunglok F1 Event

    The shifts are crazy.
6am at Cityhall for 2 alternate days. I'm gonna be waking up even earlier than the usual SSM day just so I can catch the first train.
And I just rejected a BMW Charity event because of this. =(
But it's for the sake of a more impressive looking resume.

30th - Mooncaking with the Regulars
(Unless you're invited, if not get lost! It's exclusive. Lol.)
Been planning it since, a month ago?
Imagine lanterns, mooncakes, candles and sparklers!
    Reminiscing our childhood memories yoo.

Am sooo looking forward to everything!
    =D
Was out at the Flea Titans III on Sunday.
My first time to a flea market.
    A good catch!
    Not all definitely but most.
Then MeiChin and I was imagining that event x 100 and it'll be like Bangkok!
Oh well, there were so many things I wanted to buy but with MeiChin as my financial planner, I'm glad I didn't. So it was only 2 items at $30. Worthwhile? Doubtlessly.

Anyway, what made my day was this kind samaritan who saved my life!
Okay, maybe not but indirectly, he did.
We were sitting outside Ion asking for plasters. Lol. But we weren't that lucky that day.
Then this guy who seems to be in his 20s told MeiChin that his friend would be coming with plasters soon.
So I thought maybe it's his girlfriend. I mean which guy would carry plasters with them right.
BUT ended up his friend, who is a guy, had went to buy a brand new box of plaster just for us. We were happy yet shocked! For a minute we even considered the fact that they may have interior motives but then again maybe they are really just helpful. I mean we don't meet someone so kind and helpful in our daily lives you see so it's only natural that we will have suspicions right.
Even though we only wanted 2, he insisted on us taking the whole box since they wouldn't need it at all.
Seriously, I'm surprised there are still people out there like those two.

What I'm trying to say here is that, such small little deed may seem nothing but to the one who needed help so badly, it means a whole big issue. So if it's within our capability to help, why not make someone's day just by doing a simple act right? It wouldn't kill anyway.

Of course, we don't take others for granted.
So before we left, I passed them $4.

    Caught The Ugly Truth yesterday.
Freaking hilarious, partly due to the sexual contents. Not explicit but just dirty jokes you know.
    Go catch it. Really.
Eric Winter. He plays Colin, the surgeon. He's cute you know (i think he looks cuter in the movie) and he is married!

Anyway, was at Timbre for dinner. (No pictures)
The roasted duck pizza! Yummy! I know pizza and duck doesn't seem to click but it's really nice.
But too bad the music wasn't fantastic. Should go on the days where Coed Liza  is performing (they were supposed to be on Saturdays but due to some F1 event, they were replaced). They are totally awesome!
If not Goodfellas sounds good too. Didn't see them perform live but from youtube, it seems equally cool.
So yup. I'll be going back there. Good food good music, perfect right. =)

    TIM SUM BUFFET

    I'm now in a dilemma.
See, I like Lj's layout better than blogger's. Somehow I think it looks more classy, sexy, and it gives me the "clean" feeling. The functions are in a way better too. But changing over is kind of troublesome. Imagine friends having to relink me again. Plus I already have over a hundred posts here. Sentimental values yo.
    Arrh. Stuck. How how.

Anyway, casting that aside, the regulars had a TimSum buffet outing yesterday over at Yumcha. It's freaking awesome. The food is just...oh-so-yummy! (just look at the photos later) Definitely worth every cent.
Besides the yummy food, we had awesome presents for awesome birthday guys, LiangHao & Ben!
Too bad Ben left earlier if not there would be pictures of his present.

We called that shaved ball and unshaved ball.

    Food makes me sleepy.

After which, we walked from Chinatown to Clarke Quay then to Boat Quay before settling down at Macs. Not to eat but to wait for Kelwin to knock off from work. Then we walked to Citylink. Good exercise yo. Aids in digestion.

     LiangHao's pretty presents:

    Even had his name engraved!
    Proudly done by the Regulars!
    His special "card".

    Heard of that before huh?
    Isn't it so true?
Well, I'm just reminding myself how important these people are in my life.
    And to friends out there.
When I hardly talk or meet you, it doesn't mean that I no longer care.
Believe or not, I'll still keep a lookout.

    Monday, September 14, 2009

On Saturday was Rui Xiang's 21st Birthday over @ Check-In. A rather nice place for a friends-get-together kind of party. Cosy, nice ambience. Plus the cake's really pretty and yummy too. Lychee Martini. =)

After her party, some of us went round walking at Clarke Quay and finally to Boat Quay before settling down at Eski Bar. I like the place. It's probably the coldest place you can find in Singapore. I wonder what's their electrical bill's like each month though. But then, I really like the place. It's so chilly ~~
Let's end it off with Charyl's Eye Candy!
    Lol!

After Rui Xiang's, we have Lianghao's and Ben's!! Oh yea! I'm excited. =)
    Till then!

It was an awesome trip to UBIN!
Despite the rain, mud and mosquito, it was still an enjoyable day spent with the regulars.
We practically cycled to explore the whole of Ubin. German Girl Shrine, the different quarries, Chek Jawa and other places with weird names that doesn't interest me.
I miss Ubin now. Especially the nice little British-like house that overlooks the sea and the peaceful walk at Chek Jawa.

If you can lip-read, figure out what we're trying to say.
If you can't then too bad!

I'll wanna head back there again next time. It's just so pretty!
But next time I'll get a bicycle with good seats.

    Thursday, September 10, 2009

You know, I've been wanting to clean up my room ever since the last day of school. It's been 2 weeks now and my room is still messsyyyy! Not that I don't want to but I'm just freaking lazy everyday. I need someone to kick my ass and ask me to get moving. Or maybe if you're nice, you can help me with it too. Yeah! =)

    Anyway look at this:

                                                                                      - Unknown
Then I realised why we've bought a bra for Charyl.
    See we're good friends. =)

    Wednesday, September 9, 2009

Alright, it's time to hit the sack now.
Been staying up all night/morning to watch youtube.
    And guess what,
I've an interview later in the day.
    Good luck, Yvonne!

    Goodnight earthlings!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

A part of you has grown in me.
And so you see, it's you and me
    Together forever and never apart,
Maybe in distance, but never in heart.

    Monday, September 7, 2009

Yeah, I'm back from dinner over at Northpoint with Gerald.
At Yishun yet I bumped into 2 poly mates. Small world.
Gerald bumped into his friend too.

And I think I really need a job though I'm lazy..
If only I could draw my own money. Lol.
Yeah, I've got my lj blog set up.
But that's exclusively for my friends.
So if you're not then too bad.
If you are, add me. I might accept it. Lol.
Anyway will most likely be blogging there but at the same time I won't leave this here to rot.
    Till then.

    OOH!
    I've changed the post editor!
    Know what!
I can now change colours to my fonts freely!
Now why didn't I realise this function much earlier?
    =)
Great, I've got myself The Time Traveler's Wife storybook!
I've borrowed 2 more storybooks from the library!
I'll bury myself with stories this weekend!

Anyway, I'm trying out lj but sucks I can't figure how to customize my own theme. So I guess I'll just stick to a theme that's already provided. Note that I'm not changing a blog. Just trying out of boredom. Simply put - for fun. Blogger's still the best cos I've got everything all set up nicely. I'll probably just change a header picture to give it a fresh look.

    Till then.

    Bored.

I'm reading this blog now to kill some time. Just happen to come across it some time ago and it's under my bookmark link. So I read it as and when I wish too!
    http://loveactually-blog.blogspot.com/
Seriously, some may look a little dumb but some stuff that the writer provides can be rather useful I guess. In fact sometimes it kind of enlightens me. Not entirely but it did play a small part. Well sometimes I wonder if it will even work. Anyway happen to chance upon piece of article. Well I'm lazy to summarise. So read it if you want. Lol. If not skip it.

    Words of Affirmation
Mark Twain once said “I can live for two months on a good compliment.” Verbal appreciation speaks powerfully to persons whose primary Love Language is “Words of Affirmation.” Simple statements, such as, “You look great in that suit,” or “You must be the best baker in the world! I love your oatmeal cookies,” are sometimes all a person needs to hear to feel loved.

Aside from verbal compliments, another way to communicate through “Words of Affirmation” is to offer encouragement. Here are some examples: reinforcing a difficult decision; calling attention to progress made on a current project; acknowledging a person’s unique perspective on an important topic. If a loved one listens for “Words of Affirmation,” offering encouragement will help him or her to overcome insecurities and develop greater confidence.

    Quality Time
Quality time is more than mere proximity. It’s about focusing all your energy on your mate. A husband watching sports while talking to his wife is NOT quality time. Unless all of your attention is focused on your mate, even an intimate dinner for two can come and go without a minute of quality time being shared.

Quality conversation is very important in a healthy relationship. It involves sharing experiences, thoughts, feelings and desires in a friendly, uninterrupted context. A good mate will not only listen, but offer advice and respond to assure their mate they are truly listening. Many mates don’t expect you to solve their problems. They need a sympathetic listener.

An important aspect of quality conversation is self-revelation. In order for you to communicate with your mate, you must also be in tune with your inner emotions. It is only when you understand your emotions and inner feelings will you then be able to share quality conversation, and quality time with your mate.

Quality activities are a very important part of quality time. Many mates feel most loved when they spend physical time together, doing activities that they love to do. Spending time together will bring a couple closer, and, in the years to come, will fill up a memory bank that you can reminisce about in the future.
Whether it’s sitting on the couch and having a brief conversation or playing together in a tennis league, quality time is a love language that is shared by many. Setting aside focused time with your mate will ensure a happy marriage.

    Receiving Gifts
Some mates respond well to visual symbols of love. If you speak this love language, you are more likely to treasure any gift as an expression of love and devotion. People who speak this love language often feel that a lack of gifts represents a lack of love from their mate. Luckily, this love language is one of the easiest to learn.

If you want to become an effective gift giver, many mates will have to learn to change their attitude about money. If you are naturally a spender, you will have no trouble buying gifts for your mate. However, a person who is used to investing and saving their money may have a tough time adjusting to the concept of spending money as an expression of love. These people must understand that you are investing the money not in gifts, but in deepening your relationship with your mate.

The gift of self is an important symbol of love. Sometimes all your mate desires is for someone to be there for them, going through the same trials and experiencing the same things. Your body can become a very powerful physical symbol of love.

These gifts need not to come every day, or even every week. They don’t even need to cost a lot of money. Free, frequent, expensive, or rare, if your mate relates to the language of receiving gifts, any visible sign of your love will leave them feeling happy and secure in your relationship.

    Acts of Service
Sometimes simple chores around the house can be an undeniable expression of love. Even simple things like laundry and taking out the trash require some form of planning, time, effort, and energy. Just as Jesus demonstrated when he washed the feet of his disciples, doing humble chores can be a very powerful expression of love and devotion to your mate.

Very often, both pairs in a couple will speak to the Acts of Service Language. However, it is very important to understand what acts of service your mate most appreciates. Even though couples are helping each other around the house, couples will still fight because the are unknowingly communicating with each other in two different dialects. For example, a wife may spend her day washing the cars and walking the dog, but if her husband feels that laundry and dishes are a superior necessity, he may feel unloved, despite the fact that his wife did many other chores throughout the day. It is important to learn your mate’s dialect and work hard to understand what acts of service will show your love.

It is important to do these acts of service out of love and not obligation. A mate who does chores and helps out around the house out of guilt or fear will inevitably not be speaking a language of love, but a language of resentment. It’s important to perform these acts out of the kindness of your heart.

Demonstrating the acts of service can mean stepping out of the stereotypes. Acts of service require both mates to humble themselves into doing some chores and services that aren’t usually expected from their gender. However, these little sacrifices will mean the world to your mate, and will ensure a happy relationship.

    Physical Touch
Many mates feel the most loved when they receive physical contact from their partner. For a mate who speaks this love language loudly, physical touch can make or break the relationship.

Sexual intercourse makes many mates feel secure and loved in a marriage. However, it is only one dialect of physical touch. Many parts of the body are extremely sensitive to stimulation. It is important to discover how your partner not only physically responds but also psychologically responds to these touches.

It is important to learn how your mate speaks the physical touch language. Some touches are irritating and uncomfortable for your mate. Take the time to learn the touches your mate likes. They can be big acts, such as back massages or lovemaking, or little acts such as touches on the cheek or a hand on the shoulder. It’s important to learn how your mate responds to touch. That is how you will make the most of this love language.

All marriages will experience crisis. In these cases, physical touch is very important. In a crisis situation, a hug can communicate an immense amount of love for that person. A person whose primary love language is physical touch would much rather have you hold them and be silent than offer any advice.

It is important to remember that this love language is different for everyone. What type of touch makes you feel secure is not necessarily what will make your partner happy. It is important to learn each other’s dialects. That way you can make the most of your hugging, kissing, and other physical contacts.

    Time Traveler's Wife!

Gerald and I had Sakae Buffet yesterday over at Atrium Orchard. Satisfy craving. =)
And I like the Mochi! Not that I don't wanna be unglam but the white powder left on the Mochi was all that was left.

    After which it was shopping!
And I cam-whored while waiting for him. There are a lot more but I chose not to upload it. Don't wanna appear to be some zi-lian freak.

Caught this movie yesterday and I like the storyline! It's so touching and sad yet with a tinge of sweetness in it. Awesome movie! And I so gonna get the book by hook or by crook. If the movie is nice I bet the book will be two times nicer. Been searching for it around Vivo yesterday but to no avail. Yes, I'll continue finding.

Don't you think Rachel McAdams's pretty? And I like her daughter too. So cute. =)

    Till then.
Gonna be going for Run@SG later in the day.
Not to run of course but to help out.
    Water-point once again. =)

and i wanna go bangkok to shop!

    Back from Chalet!

Yes, back from the chalet. Barely get to sleep at all during the nights there but it's hell fun hanging out with the regs. Slacking, gossiping, sharing secrets, playing and doing all the kiddy silly stuff together. Well, I'm lazy to type further and even upload more photos. So the rest of the pictures get it from facebook yeah.
